Inspeed Skates To Boost Your Performance.


Inline speed skating is one of the emerging sports among Indian youth. It is known for its high speed and smoother ride. The main purpose of this design is to enhance performance as well as better visual semantics.

Our aim is to decrease skater’s fatigue and provide them better stability. We have utilized principles of DFA & DFDA to reduce the preventive and breakdown maintenance of inline speed skates.

The Challenge

The real challenge at that time was to improve skater’s performance and give them an easier and effortless ride on any surface. We chose skate chassis as a functional area of focus, where we had to replace conventional aluminium chassis to enhance the efficiency.

Second challenge was about speed skates bearing selection according to bearing loads i.e. as per the combination of radial and axial (thrust) loads.

How We Did It

We did the techno-aesthetic detailing of all functional elements along with part level optimisation wherever possible. Conventional aluminium chassis was replaced with carbon fiber to reduce the weight without compromising on strength.

Designed the InSpeed frame/chassis along with a uniform wall thickness all over by utilizing complete strength of carbon fiber. We have maintained an inline frame with flat walls as it is much simpler to design and economical to produce.

We replaced conventional deep groove ball bearing with an end to end taper roller bearing along with an optimized wheel hub.
